Hello. I'm Seth Elliott Meyer and I'm a PhD candidate at the University of California, Berkeley, and in 2013-14 I am at the HU-Berlin. I also am used to be a road cyclist.

Click on uni in the upper right to read more about my work. Northwestern brought me to Chicagoland, where I studied German and comparative literature. After my MA at UIC, I moved to Berkeley (and Berlin) for my PhD.

I've also been racing a bicycle seriously since 2004. Read more on that in "sport." Some seasons were more fruitful than others, but I did have a good stint in late 2009, when I became the road race champion of Illinois. Now I'm ready for 2010. Cycling is a much smaller part of my life now.

In my free time, I enjoy walking around my lovely neighborhood, traveling, listening to music and podcasts, and drinking coffee. Click on "contact" if you've got the hankering to treat me to a cup of joe!
